Airto Moreira wins Number one Percussionist Award!

Congratulations to Airto Moreira for once again winning as number one percussionist in Downbeat Magazine’s 75th Annual Reader's Poll. Established in 1934 Downbeat is devoted to "jazz, blues and beyond" and it’s annual Reader’s Poll award is a prestigious honor. The "percussion" catergory was created in 1973 in honor of Airto. Since then he has won as best percussionist way over 20 times in both the Readers and Critics polls.
